My College Senior Prefect - Olufemi Impact Kolawole

Some friends were there, closer than my biological brother, but they carried heavyweight of bad influence.
Such was not the case of Femi Kolawole. Though we weren't that close in Secondary school, but he poised as a role model to many, especially those of us in the boarding house of Loyola College, Ibadan.

Yes, I remember the visit we paid to then Honourable Commissioner of Education in Oyo State, this guy was outspoken and eloquent amongst many of us. In fact, when we were introducing ourselves one after the other, it got to him, and as the  Senior Prefect (No.1 Student of the school in my set), he introduced himself this way "My name is Olufemi Kolawole, and I am a bonafide student of Loyola College".

That introduction made our teachers, Commissioner and some of his staff laugh out loud. It intimidated me in a way, because I didn't know the meaning of 'bonafide'. So, I thought Chai! this guy just made an extra mile. As a prefect also, though I can't really feel my impact on students as Chapel Prefect, but the time was for me to reposition myself for the future.

Years later, I saw this man, Femi Impact Kolawole doing well on social media, and when I got to the city where he now resides, I decided to connect with my College Senior Prefect. Proud of the man he is becoming, and he is such a focused and humble man of God. He is not a Pastor yet.

And I shouldn't forget that Loyola College Ibadan, can be referred to as the best in every way.

Up School!!! Loyola

Take The Risk

Sometimes, I ask questions. And one of the questions is "what is life without risk?"

When it comes to decision making, it takes courage and guts. What are you ready to risk today?

Decision making comes in every phase of our lives; business, relationship, finances, future etc. A true risk-taker is known by the decision made.

Life is a risk.
Life is beautiful.
Life is lived by the living.

The bigger the goal, the bigger the risk.

Victory before performance.

Sugar Ray Robinson had a dream that he was going to kill his opponent in the ring of boxing, so he backed out.

After a lot of persuasion and motivation, he was convinced by a priest to go fight Jimmy Doyle. and guess what? Robinson knocked his opponent till death.

Lesson: He received a physical victory from another realm.

What do you think?

Are You Smiling?

Please Smile Today.

The glad smile from an honest heart is better than a sermon.
This says a lot about the power embedded in smile. I often wonder myself if everyone you see daily frowns at you, won't you just conclude there's something wrong with you? No! It's not your fault, in fact, there is nothing wrong with you. You are the best.

You can ignite the smile on the faces of other people. Imagine you enter a banking hall, and all the Teller are frowning, you would mind your business and leave as soon as possible. But I have been to malls, banking hall and other places, and I started a conversation apart from what I went there for, all because of a smile I got from the person that interfaced with me.

Smile is the key that unlocks so many hearts. Do it today. Smile 😀😀😀

I wish you a beautiful day.
Good Morning

7 elephant facts you should know

Hello People, hope you are having a great time right now?
I found these seven facts about elephant, and I think it would be nice to share with you. Enjoy…

7 elephant facts you should know
1.
Asian and African elephants differ in both size and the shape of their ears. Asian elephants are smaller than their African brethren, and their ears are straight at the bottom, distinct from the large fan-shaped ears of the African species. Only some Asian male elephants have tusks, while African elephants—both male and female—sport the ivory.
2
.    Elephants have the longest gestation period of any mammal—22 months. Females give birth every four to five years. Matriarchs also dominate the complex social structure of elephants and calves, while male elephants tend to live in isolation or in small bachelor groups.
3
.    Elephants are either left- or right-tusked, and the dominant tusk is generally smaller because of wear and tear from frequent use.

4
.   An elephant trunk has up to 150,000 muscles in it. A human has more than 600 muscles in his/her entire body. Elephants use their trunks to pick up objects, trumpet warnings and greet one another.
5
.   Elephants are important ecosystem engineers. At least a third of tree species in central African forests rely on seeds passing through an elephant’s digestive tract before they can germinate.
6
.   As wild spaces shrink, elephants and humans are forced into contact and often clash. WWF helps to mitigate elephant-human conflict through various programs, including electric fences to protect crops and elephant “flying squads” to safely drive wild elephants away from farms and back into the forests.
7
.   Tens of thousands of elephants are killed each year by poachers for their ivory. WWF combats this poaching and illegal wildlife trade by training and equipping rangers and community-based organizations to tackle poaching, and strengthening national and international laws and enforcement.

You and Internal Communications - Lesson from Elephants

Elephants remain in close contact with each other using their trunks. Research has shown that tactile interaction in elephants can be used for affection, aid, play, consolation, and much more. By remaining in close proximity to one another, elephants are always able to communicate and stay on the same page as a herd. As your business’s “herd” grows too big, your team won’t be able to rely on the subtle cues of communication that a smaller “herd” relies on.  As your company grows, manage the communications well.

Stay connected.

The Public Relations Industry

Hello People. I just want to share few things about the Industry I belong to - PR.

The public relations industry is a lot like the American economy. The rich are getting richer, the middle class is shrinking, and the poor must find novel ways of getting by.
Public relations is quickly evolving as the industry barrels down a three-pronged fork in the road with three separate directions: Traditional PR, Advocacy PR and Social Media.

The media business is changing, and so is PR.  Fewer consumers are reading newspapers and magazines on paper each year as they consume their news online, sometimes via news websites of the mainstream media or commentary pages and/or blogging sites that didn’t exist until recently.

You might want to change your perspective about the way you still do your image projection in a way. But before then...
Stay tuned for more tips. The tips will help you more.

Add Extra to your Ordinary

Professionalism speaks in all we do.

If you are a great dancer, do it well.
If you cook (male or female) do it well.
If your skill is to drive, do it passionately and well.
If you were hired as a sweeper on the street, let President Buhari get a recommendation of you by doing it well.

A lot of people have passed through your path, some you know, and many you can remember, not because they didn't do it well, but because they added no extra to their ordinary.

Remember your best teacher in primary or secondary school, it's because she/he added the little extra.

What we do today counts tomorrow.

Even if your job is to carry your Boss bag, let it be said of you that you did it well

Add the EXTRA to your Ordinary. That's what makes you ExtraOrdinary.

Stay inspired and empowered.
