BEFORE ANY MARKETING CAMPAIGN, ASK THESE QUESTIONS.

Nothing can be compared to a well-thought campaign, that can sustain the test of times in this complex competitive society. Here are few but powerful tips to take note of. Ask the questions before you set out.

As a team that is ready to take the market share, take time to answer the questions before you set out;

1. Who is our target audience and what are our goals?

2. What is the best message for that audience?

3. In light of our goals, which strategies within the Promotion Mix - advertising, direct marketing, direct selling and publicity - should we use to communicate the messages?

4. What Marketing Collateral and creative should we create and transmit, based on the answers to the prior questions?

5. What are best online and offline channels for that strategy to reach that audience?

6. How can we measure the results based on which metrics are relevant to each strategy within the Promotion Mix that we will use?

Answer and waste no time. Launch and follow up.

All the best.

#thePRman: a side of him.

If I tell you that I am what I am by the grace of God, yes I am not making mistake.

I enjoy grace, and favour is on my side. In fact, it follows me daily. That's why I can not leave God out of my statement because HE makes the way where seems to be no way.

I discovered a while ago that I have different talents, and for the purpose of understanding and direction, I have come to narrow it down to a particular field - Public Relations. Not to find a place to hide, but to make a statement, a mark (positive one), and a name which in turn brings back.

Consulting for some small businesses, I realized that a lot of people lack what it takes to be well projected. And tat is work of Public Relations. Checking this out, I saw a BIG need, and I am determined to fill it. Yes, I need a team or followers to do that but let me start. You think you want to join the train, let's rebuild, project and protect good images. Even if they were bad, we can reconstruct and make good again. It's about perception.

All you need is to be;

-PRoactive
-PRoductive
-PRactical
-PRofitable
-PRolific
-PRompt
-PRudent
-PRayerful
-PRepared
-PReferred
-PRomising
-PRonounced
-PRoper
-PRedictable

Let me rest here for another thing that calls for attention.

Let's connect via Social Media

Show Your Logo. pt 1

Consumers see the golden arches of McDonalds and they think of fast food. There must be very few people in the world who could not identify the logo of Apple, or of Starbucks. Having a logo is symbolic, but is it the be-all, end-all of having a successful, workable brand?
Source: www.wikipedia.org

From identifying those logos, what else do you understand about these brands? Could you say anything more than ‘they like bright colours’ or, ‘there is a woman with lots of hair drinking coffee?’ Many SMEs get stuck on needing to design an impactful logo, but, with the advent of social media, having a strong and effective brand is just as important as a nice picture.
How many of you could immediately draw the logo for British Airways? Or for Singapore Airlines? Yet we know they are trusted and respected brands - they have managed this without having a hugely identifiable logo.
Jo Evans, senior design manager at Spreckley, a PR agency, feels a logo is still important for businesses as it appears on multiple platforms. Therefore, even though social media might be king, your logo will still be visible, and in fact, will probably be the most mobile friendly aspect. There won’t be room for your name or slogan on a Twitter profile, so to maximise different platforms, a logo is important.
"Your logo is the first thing people notice about you and you want it to set the right mood and create the right initial impression and so, personality is everything. Your brand may appear on a few platforms from print to digital, large or small, so changing it if it’s not working is added expense, time and hassle. Style, layout and colours will need to flow throughout your identity so you’ll need to think beyond just a logo and experienced designers can do this for you."

Something that lets many companies down who have decided to invest in new branding or a logo, is doing it on the cheap. Strong design across the whole brand is important, and many business people assume it’s just an added bit tacked on at the end. A strong brand design may cost you more than quickly fiddling around online, but it is worth the extra investment.
Deciding whether you want a logo at all, or just an iconic lettered heading are important. Both Google and Amazon use ‘word logos’ while Apple and Starbucks have emblem ones. One key move by brands is removing words from logos - Starbucks, Ink, and Gap, among others. Yet, it’s important to remember that a logo is just part of a brand. But it’s also one that can make your brand more standout and more memorable, essential if you have close competitors.

Professor Olu Ogunsakin; A Change Maker

Listening to a man of deep knowledge about almost everything discussed in few minutes spent with him, you can tell that Professor Olu Ogunsakin is really a man of knowledge. Came in with his gadgets (phones and ipad), you would easily get the gist that he is a man who he is updated with this twenty-first century trend.

He informed us about a lot of things in few minutes, and after that you would definitely ask little or nothing about him again, because almost all you need to know has been told.

Professor Olu Ogunsakin is a world-wide celebrity in the field of policing In January 2010, the British Government honoured him as one of the three most prominent Nigerians for his personal contributions to their socio-economic progress. He is also the consultant on policing to the Home Office in the United States of America.

He has a Ph.D. in Police Studies from the University of Exeter, United Kingdom since 1997. A post graduate diploma in mediation from the University of Toronto, Canada; Master of Arts in Criminal Justice, and a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Development, both from the University of Detroit, Michigan, USA and a Diploma in Business Administration from St. Clair College, Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
These heights of achievement have not made him lose his personality even in the midst of his children (talking about us) as we threw questions at him from different angles. Quite a different person entirely.

He is a man full of humour, common sense  (though it’s not common) and deep knowledge. You can imagine a Professor who is handsome, funny, friendly, tall, nice and generous.
