Tiger Woods is Back as Champion

The story of Tiger Woods with Elin Maria Pernilla Nordegren, the ex-wife and Swedish former model is a great lesson for unmarried young men out there.

She met Woods as an accomplished golf player with millions of dollars as his possession and got married to him only to ruin his life afterwards.

She divorced him, took a large chunk of his wealth and left Tiger Woods not only heart broken but also professionally down.

His scenario was a proverbial fall from grace to grass as he was rated 1,199th in the World of Golf.

He was number 1 golf player for so longer years and role model to many..

big organisations terminated his contracts with them.

He was on rehab for years and was worked on by psychologists.

His world seemed to have ended.

That is what marriage is capable of causing when you marry a woman that is with intention of being with you because of your wealth.

Woods fell, pulled himself together and started again. Though second chance is always rare but TIGER WOOD got his own and he grabbed the privilege.

3 days ago, after 11 years, Tiger Wood reclaimed his position back as a top world Golf Player.

Good women are still out there but be careful especially when you're at the top of your career.

The King is back.

The Tiger of the game is here again.

Welcome Tiger Wood.

Never stop chasing your crazy dreams

Lesson for all...

My financial mistakes series

I love collaboration, and this makes me do things by going extra mile.

And more of it when we were educated to have multiple streams of income. So, I saw a fish pond done by a friend, and I thought we could do partnership as a particular amount of money was doing nothing in my account at that time. I asked my friend if he wanted to expand, and he said yes. We had a talk and off we went, to bank.

He had 2 fish ponds as at the time I visited his farm, had 2 wheel barrow and few equipment... weeks after, my friend added 1 pond to it.

I did not step into the farm until the day he told me Rain fell and washed away all the fishes... I couldn't cry because I was almost broke at that point.

Then, I remembered a business conference I attended and one of the facilitators told us "never invest in business you don't understand".

Now, I don learn my lesson. It's one of my #FinancialMistakes

Happy Birthday to Governor Rauf Aregbesola

Rauphobia, Raufmania And Raufnomics

(For Rauf Aregbesola At 61)

He has never achieved anything without struggle. As commissioner for works, I didn’t know more of him until he declared his intention to run for the governorship position of Osun. Not many, including this writer, believed he was going to make it. Many people willingly joined the struggle. Anyday, anytime, Aregbesola is a crowd-puller. Only few people can match his streetness.

On many occasions, he cheated death. It was a tortuous journey. From the pre-election till when his mandate was restored, it was one day, one trouble. He won the election but the incumbent was declared. And the legal tussle began. The first tribunal was comprommised.  Many people laid their lives unnecessarily. Why? They were tired of the locusts who had almost sucked the state’s treasury dry.

And finally, on November 26th, 2010, the Appeal Court, sitting in Ibadan, affirmed the judgement of the reconstituted tribunal, by declaring Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as the duly elected governor. That day, the jubilation was indescribable. Many major towns were thrown into ectastic celebration. He couldn’t be sworn in that day. Before the second day, it was evident that the will of the majority eventually prevailed.

From the beginning, it was evident that he was prepared for governance. Within a twinkle of an eye, he left no one in doubt as to his capacity to effect changes in the shortest time. His many O-projects many of which have become models for many states have earned him recognition and awards locally and internationally.

His many projects were unusual. The few condemn him while the majority commend him. And that is why he is always happy to associate with the common man on the street. He is not known for flamboyant lifestyle. It didn’t take many residents of the once-upon-a-time state of the living spring to know that their prayers have been answered. The more than 7 years before Oranmiyan came on board was akin to the years of the men in khaki.

Like his first election and the legal tussles that followed, the re-election bid was also fought with everything. He contested against the candidate of a party that was bent on entrenching its hold, no matter what it would have cost. The people were determined like the first term. They believed that the O-General needed another term to solidify his achievements. At last, despite threat from far and near, he was announced as the winner.

Though an engineer by training, the way he has handled the economy of the state calls for applause. Many of us are even baffled how he has been able to achieve what other states, especially the financially-buoyant ones have been unable to do. His would be successor is lucky. All what he or she needs is to device means of sustenance through prudent management of resources and fund generation internally.

Despite all his good intentions, there are still opposition in the state. A compromised section of the media has made itself available, as a tool in the hands of the never-see-well. There was nothing they didn’t insinuate about the Ilesa-born former Lagos commissioner. He was alleged of attempting to islamise Osun. He was criticised for merging schools. Every good thing he does is not good in the hands of some minority few. It is not that the opposition don’t see that all his projects are unusual, they are angry because he has spoilt business for them. You don’t expect a baby to be beaten and not cry. Everytime, he triumphs. It seems he has the magic wand to transform misfortune to fortune.

The worst of it all. Those who had undeservingly  benefited immensely from his generosity  are part of the enemies within. They are terrible students of history. They have forgotten that everything about the husband of Sherifat is tied to struggle. There is nothing they have not said about him. Some even said he is an Ajele (District Officer) after over 10 years in the politics of Osun. That is incredible.

But why has he always triumphed against his adversaries? For an upcoming politician, Aregbesola is an example of who to follow. Just like he is loyal to his mentor and pathfinder -Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, he rewards loyalty. Those who are closer to him say that he is restless; that he likes working in the dead of the night, when his colleagues are snoring. He has demystified governance by always covering many kilometers with his people. He once said that he doesn’t look like a governor because he is ‘haggard’.

However, all these achievements can be rubbished in a matter of weeks if he is unable to present a successor. As the first governor of the state to use two-term and with a lot of credit to him, he needs a man who can think like him; who can continue from where he would stop. That is my fear. And it is not even a fear. I cannot only but pray God to assist, guide and guard him to choosing the best man for the job. Whether you like it or not, no governor or politician wouldn’t be concerned about who succeeds him.

Recently, an attempt to blackmail him ahead the 2018 governorship election hit the rock and Ogbeni appeared stronger. it was a blessing in disguise and those who planned the inhuman plot are regretting it.

Just like Oranmiyan, he is an intrepid politician. He is a veteran of many successful  battles and wars. Some have even referred to him as the heir apparent to the throne of Bourdillon. This, he has displayed through his rare support for any cause he believes. Some even said he has one of the few persons who have the ears of the “Lion of Bourdillon’.

As people besiege Osogbo, the State of Osun capital. To celebrate the diamond anniversary of Ogbeni on earth, I wish my mentor many more glorious years on earth.

Wa inna jundana laomul’ galibun.

Erection: Control it.

THIS STUPID THING CALLED ERECTION

Erection is a state of  arousal of sexual desires in a man in preparation for sexual exploit. Having an erection is natural but obeying the dictates of your erection is a choice. For every erection, there's a responsibility. Wise men have control over their erection but foolish men obey their erections.

Any erection not properly controlled is capable of leading one to early grave. Unsolicited erection is no respecter of persons. Anointing, righteousness, strength, age etc has no power over erection, only self-control and self discipline can curb an erection.

Many became useless fathers because they didn't control their erections.

Some are in prison because they followed the dictates of their stupid erection.

Others have lost great opportunities in life because their erection pushed them.

Some are bed-ridden at the altar of uncontrollable erection.

The stupidity of erection is that most times it isn't selective. Unchecked erection has led great kings to be at the bed of their slaves and maids. Stupid erection has led some to sleeping with their blood sisters. Erection has not left the clergy out of the drama as many have been found messing up with those they ought to be Shepherd over. What a stupid erection!

A strong man is not measured by the level of  his physical muscle or by the number of nations he has conquered but by his ability to control his erection. No man in history could be said to be more powerful than Samson yet his erection made him the weakest in history, his erection made him fall at the lap of a woman. David killed Goliath and conquered many great nations but he couldn't conquer his erection, he became weak at the sight of Bathsheba, the wife of his servant. Reuben ruined his future and generation after him because of his uncontrollable erection.

Don't let your erection destroy your destiny!

Your erection is a sign you are a real man but following it to everywhere it leads you is a sign of weakness.

Any man who cannot control his erection can't control his life.

The only time your erection cannot mislead you is when you use it within the confines of your marriage.

Stop following your erection, follow your vision.

Get up and work

There is no money in your account that should give you rest of mind.

Some people will just want to get relaxed because some figures of naira entered their bank accounts. I pity you. Wake up!

Where you make 70million naira, some guys are yet to wake up from their bed, and some billions have entered their other accounts, while they wake up late at night to do the works you consider tiring.

Make sure you don't celebrate on the success of yesterday's assignment. Here is today, tomorrow is almost here. Get up.

Cheers to the new weekend.

The 'Diekola Oladipupo Owonikoko' I know. (Part 1)

1999, right there in the city of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.  I met one energetic young man, whose drive for success couldn't be over emphasized, even at a young age.

We were in the compound that accommodated the best brains in Nigeria. Yes, Loyola College Ibadan is known to be "The Best In Everyway". Up Schools!

What really made me attracted to this wonderful guy was the energy and the calculative personality. We were in the boarding, and no senior could ignore out impacts. Before then, we were victims of 'one boy, last man'

Diekola is a man of greatness. He is a kind man. He thinks of others before his needs. His lifestyle is simple, and he doesn't like to be cheated. Yes, a sport man, but he also likes intelligent argument.

When he told me some things about Life, I  immediately concluded this guy will go fartber5than his father. All things bright and beautiful, no wahala, but hates injustice. He is a 'people person'. He cooks as of it is his duty to feed nations. A well read young man who does not discriminate.

I salute the man you are becoming. God bless you real good.

To be continued...

Diekola Owonikoko for Afijio LG Constituency

Not too young to run.
Ready to work and deliver.
A man of great capacity for the development of Afijio.

Diekola Oladipupo OWONIKOKO.

...Itesiwaju Afijio.

Live Your Dream

When to begin to live your dream;

When you are young and aware – You can be young, vibrant and full of dream but you need to be aware of your environment, ideas, dreams and lifestyle. And of course, your future

When you are agile – healthy living is key. Once you know you are able to do it, please start. No matter the space, terrain, resources and your age.

When you are dissatisfied about your present state of life – Are you tired of the present state of life? Don’t give up, all you need do is to start living your dream. You can close your eyes and imagine what you can positively be when you take up positive challenge(s).

Don't be afraid to let-go of the great to experience the greater.

It's a risk if you don't start early. When you start too early, it's even a risk. Why don't you start now?

Determine your priorities.
